15K Championships

15K Overview

This race is the original, crown-jewel of the OCR World Championships weekend.

Established in 2014 in the rolling hills of Ohio, the 15K Championships is THE independent Obstacle Course Racing World Championship. The best athletes from around the world come together to tackle 40+ of the sports toughest obstacles spread across rough, mountainous terrain.

Entry Fee

$200 for age group and journeyman athletes. $240 for the professional wave.

Great Swag

Athletes receive a personalized race bib and athlete credential, finisher t-shirt, finisher medal, exclusive OCRWC 2021 Hoo-rag, finish-line food, free race photos, and a commemorative band if they achieve 100% completion of all obstacles.

Challenging Obstacles

40+ obstacles across the 15 kilometer course with aid stations throughout.

Podium Prizes

Top finishers are eligible for specialty podium medals, cash prizes, great giveaways, and free race entries.

Qualification Information

Age Group and Journeyman qualification requirements are waived for 2021 due to the limited number of qualifying races as a result of cancellations from COVID-19.

Journeyman divisions will be transferred into Age Group divisions.

Athletes racing in the pro division must still qualify, but they can use race results from 2019 or 2020.

*Due to the lifting of qualification requirements for 2021 due to COVID-19, Journeyman and Journeywoman division athletes will instead race as Age Group racers. There will be no dedicated Journeyman and Journeywoman division.

Podium Awards

All 15K athletes receive 15K participant medals. Athletes who complete all obstacles on the course will also receive a 100% completion commemorative wristband. Podium athletes will receive:

Podium Medals

- Top 3 men and women in the Pro division
- Top 3 men and women in the Age Group divisions

Prizes

Top 3 men and women in the Pro division will receive cash prizes
Top 3 men and women in the Age Group division will receive free entry to the 2022 OCRWC 15K to defend their titles

How far back can I use a qualifying result as my qualification for the OCRWC?

For the 2020 OCRWC, events on or after August 10th, 2019 will be qualifiers. You can find the details for qualification here: How To Qualify

Can I update divisions after I have already registered?

We allow changes in divisions (Pro, Age Group, or Journeyman), however, there is a $25 per distance administration fee in order to do so, plus any incremental costs associated with your new division. Contact us with your request to initiate this process.

I’ve qualified and registered. When will I receive my confirmation email?

Confirmation emails are sent out on the 5th of each month for all registrations from the preceding month.
