OCRWC ADDS QUALIFYING EVENTS IN BELIGIUM & AUSTRALIA
“The OCRWC was created to bring Obstacle Course Racing to a global stage and we are delighted that these organizations share our vision of a unified sport,” said OCRWC Founder & CEO Adrian Bijanada.
“Run For Our Lives is proud to announce that, as off now, we are an OCR World Championships Qualifying Event. We are excited to embark on this journey and, just as our athletes, push our limits to lift our race to the highest level possible,” said Run For Our Lives’ Mathias Van Genabet.
In addition to Run For Our Lives, Belgium’s Gladiator Run will also become a qualifying event for October’s OCR World Championships.
Australia’s Raw Challenge and their series of six events will also be added as a qualifying event, retroactively to March 1, 2016.
“Raw Challenge are proud to be a qualifying event for the OCR World Championships. We have experienced an increased interest of Competitive Racers at our events and are thrilled to give them the opportunity to compete at the Raw Challenge to potentially qualify for the OCR World Championships,” said a Raw Challenge’s Astrid Dyreborg Martin. “We do appreciate that the OCR World Championships helps maintain a standard for the Obstacle Racing community in Australia and worldwide.”
