Obstacle Course Racing World Championships Takes Top Honors in Annual Mud Run Guide Awards
On Wednesday December 20, 2017, the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships took top honors across numerous categories in MudRunGuide.com’s 2017 Best of OCR Awards. The annual awards are community-based awards that recognize the best brands, events, people, and moments in the obstacle racing industry. Over 100,000 votes were cast by the global obstacle course racing community in this year’s awards, which spanned over thirty categories.
The 2017 OCR World Championships earned top honors taking home and unprecedented five awards — the most awards of any singular brand in the obstacle racing industry. Awards included:
- Best Event of 2017
- Best Championship Race of 2017
- Best Medal in Obstacle Course Racing
- Best Moment in 2017
- Best Race Director

This marks the third year in a row OCR World Championships has won both Best Event and Best Moment in the annual polling of the obstacle course racing community. Additionally, the 2017 OCR World Championships also won Mudstacle awards for Best International Event and Best Swag.
