EVENT DETAILS

The OCR World Championships is the first truly independent global championship for the burgeoning sport of Obstacle Course Racing. It is a singular event created to unify, promote, and increase participation in the sport of OCR while celebrating its amazing athletes and community.

Where and when is the event being held?

The location and date of the 2017 Obstacle Course Racing World Championships will be held at October 13-15 at Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario, Canada.

How can I qualify?

Athletes are required to qualify to compete in the OCRWC based on his/her performance at specific Qualifying Races. Participants are required to provide proof of results at the time of registration.

Entry into the OCRWC is limited issued to qualified athletes on a first come, first served basis.

What divisions can I compete in?

There are two World Championship distances available for athletes to compete in: Short Course (3k) and Standard (15k). The following divisions are available for each:

STANDARD (15k) DISTANCE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • Male: 13-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50+
  • Female: 13-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50+

Journeyman & Journeywoman

The Journeyman & Journeywoman Divisions are exclusive waves reserved for the most passionate Obstacle Course Racers. There are no finishing results requirement (i.e. third in your age group)  to compete in this wave. Instead, athletes are required to complete ANY four obstacle course races between October 17, 2016 and October 6, 2017. Non-cash prizes are awarded for the winners of these divisions. Space in these waves are strictly limited.

Journeyman & Journeywoman

Proof of Results & Acceptance

All athletes are required to submit proof of results at the time of registration. Acceptance into the OCRWC is granted only after verification by OCRWC officials.

What is the OCRWC’s refund policy?

In the event of cancellation by OCRWC organizers, participants will be issued with a full refund of their registration fee. Refunds are not provided otherwise.

What if I am injured and cannot compete?

Registered athletes unable to compete due to injury or personal circumstances may defer their qualification to the following year. The following year’s registration fee is not waived in these instances. Complete this form to defer your qualification.

Can I transfer my spot to a friend?

The OCR World Championships are intended to be a competition between the best obstacle course racers in their respective divisions. As such, transfers of race entries are strictly prohibited. Athletes found to be in violation of this policy may be banned from the World Championship and future OCRWC competitions.
