An OCRWC environmentally friendly reusable water bottle, and an OCRWC Hoo-rag
A volunteer t-shirt to wear
Whether it’s the free future race entry or the free lunch, there’s always a reward (above the personal satisfaction!) to volunteering.
For so many people, their favorite part of OCR is the incredible community, and the volunteers make up a huge part of this. Being a volunteer gives the opportunity to spend time with others, including all the racers.
Encourage others & improve the OCR experience
It’s not uncommon to find joy in helping others, and volunteering is a great way to do this. Advising runners, shouting encouragement, or even doling out high fives and muddy hugs. And let’s not forget that volunteers are key to OCR. Without those offering their time, the event couldn’t exist.

Shifts are available Wednesday through Sunday, with both indoor and outdoor opportunities available. Outdoor volunteers should come prepared to spend eight hours outside in all elements, including sun, wind, rain, and cold weather.
