The OCRWC wouldn’t be possible without volunteers like you!
So, Why Volunteer?

Volunteer Benefits

Volunteers for each eight-hour shift get the following:
Volunteer Now
Event Entry
1 transferable entry to a future OCRWC race*
A delicious sack lunch provided for free
Branded Gear
An OCRWC environmentally friendly reusable water bottle, and an OCRWC Hoo-rag
A volunteer t-shirt to wear
The Bling
  • Whether it’s the free future race entry or the free lunch, there’s always a reward (above the personal satisfaction!) to volunteering.

The Community
  • For so many people, their favorite part of OCR is the incredible community, and the volunteers make up a huge part of this. Being a marshal gives the opportunity to spend time with others, and all the racers.

Encourage others & improve the OCR experience
  • It’s not uncommon to find great joy in helping others, and volunteering is a great way to do this. Advising runners, shouting encouragement, or even doling out sweeties and muddy hugs. And let’s not forget that marshals are key to OCR, without them giving their time, the races wouldn’t exist.
