[vc_row][vc_column][vc_facebook type=”standard”][vc_column_text]
For Immediate Release

The rapidly growing Obstacle Course Racing World Championship (OCRWC), the sport’s first independent championship, announced a partnership today with Operation Enduring Warrior (OEW), a veteran operated non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to honor, empower and motivate wounded service members through physical, mental and emotional rehabilitative activities such as Obstacle Course Races.

“Operation Enduring Warrior’s belief in the transformative powers of endurance sport is one that we think any athlete can relate to,” said OCRWC President Adrian Bijanada. “Obstacle Course Racing in particular has a proven track record of helping individuals regain control of their lives and reclaim their identity. We couldn’t be happier to support an organization that uses this unique sport within their program to enhance the lives our service men and women.”

OCRWC organizers will be working with OEW to increase awareness of their mission and raise funds through a variety of initiatives leading up to the OCR World Championships in October 2014. Event participants will also have the opportunity to donate to OEW at the time of registration as well as at the event.

“We’re excited to be part of this first OCR World Championship and thank OCRWC for their support and thorough understanding of our mission. It’s a great linking of like-minded individuals, and we look forward to what is to come,” said President of OEW, Scott Blough.

New Qualifying Races Announced

In addition to a new charity partner, the rapidly growing OCR World Championships have also expanded their already impressive line-up of qualifying races through which athletes can qualify for the October 2014 competition. The additions include Civilian Military Combine and US Navy SEAL produced Bone Frog Challenge, two rapidly growing premier race series, both of which support veteran-affiliated charity One Team One Fight.

“Partnering with like-minded companies is at the very heart of what we are about. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with these incredible organizations for the greater good of the sport and the causes they support,” said Bijanada.
